Where Winds Meet Adds New Vehicle-Building Feature
Where Winds Meet Introduces a New Vehicle-Building Mechanic
Where Winds Meet has rolled out a major update that adds a new vehicle-building system, giving players even more creative tools to experiment with. The mechanic looks very similar to Tears of the Kingdom’s Ultrahand ability, bringing a familiar but exciting twist to the already massive RPG.
Since launch, the game has seen rapid success. Within 24 hours, Where Winds Meet crossed 2 million players and became one of Steam’s top five most-played games. The momentum has not slowed down, and developer Everstone Studios continues to expand the game with fresh features.
Ink Structure Lets Players Build Custom Vehicles
Everstone has introduced a new mechanic called Ink Structure on the China servers. This system allows players to craft different vehicles by attaching components together.
Gameplay clips show players creating helicopters, scooters, carts, and even unique flying machines. Fans are already comparing the freedom of Ink Structure to Tears of the Kingdom, where players built everything from mechs to Star Wars-inspired ships.
Ink Structure promises the same level of creativity. With more pieces scattered across the world, players will be able to craft machines that fit their playstyle, from exploration tools to combat vehicles.
Global Release Will Come Later
For now, Ink Structure is only live in China. Everstone has confirmed that the feature will reach global players, but no date has been shared yet.
What we do know is that Ink Structure will have a huge impact on the overall gameplay. Players will find new collectible components in the open world. Some will offer unique abilities, allowing creative builds that open new ways to travel or defeat enemies.
The mechanic also supports multiplayer. Players can save and share blueprints, making it easier for others to recreate vehicles designed by the community.
More Improvements Are Also on the Way
Everstone has already revealed several updates planned for the next patches. These include:
-
Fixes for Solo Mode latency
-
Steam Deck support
-
Better visual performance on PS5
-
Translation upgrades for global players
Where Winds Meet continues to grow rapidly, and features like Ink Structure show how ambitious the team is for the future.

‘Ink Structure’ sounds wild! As an unofficial fan site, this vehicle-building mechanic for Where Winds Meet definitely sparks my interest. Sipping my coffee, I’m wondering when we’ll get to see it outside China – maybe I’ll be building a flying scooter soon?
