Resident Evil Survival Unit Trailer Reveals Iconic Cast and New Villain
Resident Evil Survival Unit has released a new cinematic trailer, giving fans a look at the world the cast will be defending. Long-time followers of the franchise will enjoy seeing familiar faces team up in this mobile spin-off.
Originally announced at Anime Expo 2025, Resident Evil Survival Unit took many by surprise. While most fans eagerly await the main series entry Resident Evil Requiem, this new title could provide engaging gameplay to enjoy in the meantime.
A Cinematic Glimpse into the Resident Evil Survival Unit
The trailer introduces the lead character, who joins forces with Claire Redfield. As a strategy horror game, players will issue commands rather than directly engage in combat.
Familiar sights include swarms of zombies and larger, more dangerous enemies. Fan-favourite characters make appearances, including Jill Valentine, Leon S. Kennedy, Carlos Oliveira, Marvin Branagh, Mikhail Viktor, and Ada Wong.
Weapons range from standard sidearms to heavy-hitting favourites, like Leon’s rocket launcher and Jill’s railgun from the Resident Evil 3 Remake. Boss enemies such as Nemesis, Mr. X, and the giant crocodile return, alongside the new Mortem antagonist designed by legendary Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano.
Pre-Registration Milestone Achieved
Resident Evil Survival Unit is set to launch in 2025. Pre-registration has already surpassed 1 million players, unlocking launch rewards. The strong reception shows that even as a mobile title, the game has generated significant excitement among fans.
