New PS Plus Games for September 2025 Are Available Now

The new PlayStation Plus games for September 2025 are now live for download in the UK and Europe. Players in the US can expect the update to roll out within a few hours.

Subscribers to PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, or Premium get another strong lineup this month. Sony is giving away Psychonauts 2, Stardew Valley, and Viewfinder for both PS4 and PS5. These titles remain playable as long as players keep their active subscription.

PlayStation Plus Keeps Growing

Xbox and PlayStation continue expanding their subscription services with fresh features and perks. Both Game Pass and PS Plus now offer players access to rotating catalogs alongside free monthly games.

For PS Plus, the standout feature remains the three free monthly titles. These games can be kept for as long as users stay subscribed. Players with Extra and Premium tiers also enjoy a large catalog of rotating games, mirroring Xbox Game Pass.

Free PS Plus Games for September 2025

Sony confirmed the lineup last month, and the titles are now available with the first Tuesday of September.

• Psychonauts 2 (PS4)

• Stardew Valley (PS4)

• Viewfinder (PS4, PS5)

Psychonauts 2 and Stardew Valley are PS4 releases but also run on PS5 thanks to backwards compatibility. Viewfinder comes with a native PS5 version alongside its PS4 edition.

Missed the August Games?

Subscribers can no longer claim the August 2025 lineup. That month included Lies of P, DayZ, and My Hero One’s Justice 2. Extra and Premium users also lost access to Sword of the Sea and The Rogue Prince of Persia, both rotated out of the game catalog.

More Games Leaving PS Plus in September

Several games are scheduled to leave PS Plus Extra and Premium this month. Players should download and enjoy them before they are gone.

The departing titles include:

• Dragon’s Crown Pro

• F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch

• Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir

• Pistol Whip

• Road 96

• The Plucky Squire

• UFC 5

Thankfully, Sony also refreshes the library with new additions. That means subscribers can expect a new set of Extra and Premium titles in the coming weeks.
