Ghost of Yotei Reveals New Game Plus and Major Content Update

Sucker Punch has revealed a major update for Ghost of Yotei, bringing long-requested features and new content. The game launched in early October and quickly became a hit among PlayStation fans. With most launch issues resolved, the studio is now ready to expand the game with meaningful additions.

New Game Plus Arrives on November 24

A new blog post from Sucker Punch confirms that New Game Plus arrives on November 24. Players can access this mode after finishing the main campaign. It brings two new difficulty options and two additional trophies. All current gear carries over, making another run more exciting and challenging.

New Rewards and Upgrade Paths

New Game Plus introduces Ghost Flowers, a special currency for repeat playthroughs. Players can exchange these flowers at a new vendor. The shop offers 10 new charms and over 30 cosmetic items, including dyes and armour sets. Sucker Punch is also adding a new upgrade tier for weapons and armour, increasing build options.

Additional Features in the Update

The update includes several quality-of-life improvements. A new stats screen lets players track progress more easily. Players can also replay missions during the post-game phase. Photo Mode has more features now, including shutter speed, a composition grid, and new filters. Extra accessibility settings are also included, such as remappable directional buttons.

Legends Multiplayer Mode Coming in 2026

Sucker Punch ends the post with a tease for 2026. The popular Legends multiplayer mode is returning as a free update. It will include two co-op missions and four survival missions. Players will battle demonic versions of the Yotei Six. Multiple classes will be available, though details remain unknown.
