Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.3.0 — Winter Offensive, Fixes, and QoL Improvements
Quick summary of 1.1.3.0
Update 1.1.3.0 brings fixes, polish, and new Winter Offensive content. It improves hit registration, weapon stability, vehicle clarity, and audio consistency. The update also adds UI and control quality-of-life tweaks. Map-specific balance changes reduce round-end matchmaking frustration.
New Winter Offensive content
A new time-limited event lands with this update. Ice Lock Empire State is a winter-shrouded version of Empire State. It features frozen streets and seasonal visuals. The event adds a themed Freeze mechanic for certain modes. Gauntlet and standard playlists include the new event mode.
Portal supports Ice Lock Empire State during the event window. A new melee weapon, the Ice Climbing Axe, unlocks via the Winter Offensive Bonus Path. The Battle Pass adds an 11-tier Winter Offensive reward track. Rewards include event cosmetics and XP Boosters.
Major gameplay improvements
Hit registration has been improved across multiple cases. Quick aim adjustments now register shots more reliably. Close-quarters fights are more consistent. We improved close-range soldier visibility to make targets easier to track. Prone and idle animations now look clearer thanks to our recent refinements. Send the next ones whenever you’re ready! Weapons received handling fixes for first-shot and recoil interaction. Gadgets such as the Portable Mortar and Supply Pouch now behave more predictably. Vehicles saw fixes to damage zones, camera behaviour, and HUD overlaps.
Audio overhaul for combat clarity
We applied a broad audio pass across the soundscape. Footsteps are clearer and more readable at distance. We fixed memory issues that dropped audio under heavy load. Important combat and vehicle sounds should play more consistently. This pass improves armour-break feedback and movement cues.
Player fixes and animation polish
Many animations and clipping bugs were fixed. Fixes cover prone, vaulting, ladders, and revive interactions. We resolved cases of delayed fall damage and stuck controls. Recoil and aim inputs interact more reliably now. First-person and third-person transitions are smoother.
Vehicle and weapon changes
We corrected vehicle hit zones to match the intended damage values. Seat reticules and spawn-camera HUD issues now behave correctly after our fixes. Vehicle audio memory problems saw partial improvements to reduce dropouts. We fixed visual bugs affecting weapon inspect animations, scopes, and attachments. Certain weapons had their recoil, pacing, and magazine costs tuned.
Gadget refinements
Assault Ladders now allow smoother traversal. Supply Pouch no longer gives instant health on deployment. We fixed Portable Mortar ammo behaviour, fire rate issues, and smoke shell effects. Throwing Knife dispersion now allows reliable headshots up to 15 metres after tuning. Lock-on indicators and minimap visibility now work correctly following recent adjustments.
maps, modes, and matchmaking
Breakthrough and Rush layouts received balance updates. Capture volumes and vehicle placements were adjusted by map. Manhattan Bridge, Mirak Valley, and Empire State saw targeted fixes. Battle Pickup spawn logic was refined for mode consistency. Matchmaking now better avoids placing players into rounds near the end.
Progression and UI improvements
Weekly challenge tracking and gadget challenge issues were fixed. Added loading feedback for tournament code entry. Fixed many HUD and minimap visual bugs. Updated item sorting, unlock text, and ping behaviour. Several small UI polish items improved overall clarity.
Settings and controller updates
Fixed issues with menu navigation and option persistence. We expanded mouse and vehicle sensitivity ranges. Controller aim curves now feel more responsive after our refinements. Slider and stepping bugs no longer affect the menu thanks to recent fixes.
Single player, Portal, and AI
Single-player out-of-bounds timers and audio cues were fixed. Portal tools and SDK asset usage were corrected. AI bots now better respond to revives, pickups, and objectives. AI pathing and revive logic improved across multiple modes.
Ongoing issues
We reduced occurrences of player settings resetting after updates. Isolated instances still appear for some players. We expect a full fix in an upcoming patch.
