Crimson Desert Teases New Extraction Feature in Upcoming Update
New Crimson Desert Update Arrives Soon
Pearl Abyss has started teasing the next major Crimson Desert update, confirming that new features will arrive within the next few days.
Since the game launched in March, the studio has continued releasing frequent updates focused on bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and gameplay changes.
New Special Mounts Are Coming
The upcoming update will introduce new special mounts. Pearl Abyss confirmed this through a recent social media post. Players already have access to mounts like –
- Polar Bear
- Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex
The new additions will expand the available mount collection even further.
Crimson Desert Adding a New Extraction Feature
One of the biggest additions in the new Crimson Desert update is a special extraction feature. This feature is not related to extraction shooters. Instead, it focuses on item management and progression systems. According to Pearl Abyss, players will be able to recover materials used during –
- Upgrade processes
- Refinement systems
The developer has not yet explained exactly how much material players can recover.
Recent Updates Already Added Major Features
This announcement arrives shortly after the game’s previous major update. That patch introduced –
Rematch Feature
Players can now fight defeated bosses again. Options include –
- Original difficulty
- Resonate scaling mode
Consumables used during rematches are refunded afterward.
Re-blockade Solves Endgame Progression Problems
Pearl Abyss also added the Re-blockade feature. This system helps players after clearing large portions of the map. Previously, enemies stopped respawning in certain areas, making progression difficult.
Now players can choose:
- No respawns
- Slow respawns
- Frequent respawns
Currently, the system supports 23 forts and quarries. Pearl Abyss plans to expand it later.
Why This Crimson Desert Update Matters
The steady update pace shows Pearl Abyss is actively listening to player feedback. Features like extraction recovery and Re-blockade directly address progression frustrations. That continued support could help Crimson Desert maintain long-term player engagement.
