PS5 Players Push Starfield Near Top of PlayStation Pre-Order Charts

Starfield PS5 pre-orders rise on PlayStation Store charts

Starfield PS5 Pre-Orders Start Strong

PlayStation players have wasted no time placing Starfield PS5 pre-orders after Bethesda officially confirmed the game for Sony’s console.

The sci-fi RPG now sits near the top of the PlayStation Store pre-order charts in the United States. This comes only days after Bethesda announced the PS5 version. Starfield launches on April 7, 2026, for PlayStation 5.

The release will include the Free Lanes update and the Terran Armada expansion.

Premium Edition Is Selling Faster Than Standard Version

The Premium Edition currently ranks third in the PlayStation Store pre-order list. Only Crimson Desert and its Deluxe Edition sit above it.

The standard edition also performs strongly, currently sitting sixth.

The Premium Edition includes:

  • Shattered Space expansion

  • Terran Armada expansion

Many players appear to prefer the complete version despite the higher price. This suggests strong confidence in the full package.

Why Starfield PS5 Pre-Orders Matter

Starfield first launched in September 2023 on Xbox Series X/S and PC. At the time, Microsoft used the game as a major Xbox exclusive after acquiring Bethesda. That made the long wait for PlayStation players significant. Now, after two and a half years, PS5 users are finally getting access. The early Starfield PS5 pre-orders show there is still strong demand.

Bethesda Always Planned a PS5 Release

Todd Howard recently explained that Bethesda always wanted to release Starfield on PlayStation 5. According to him, it was simply a matter of timing. That statement makes the current release feel less surprising, even if the wait lasted longer than many expected.

Starfield Still Has Future Plans

Although Bethesda is heavily focused on The Elder Scrolls 6, support for Starfield is not finished. Rumors now suggest a possible Nintendo Switch 2 version as well. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but Bethesda recently increased support for Nintendo’s latest platform. That makes a future port realistic.

PlayStation Interest Remains High

Even though Starfield received mixed reactions on Steam, PlayStation users still appear eager to experience it. The strong Starfield PS5 pre-orders suggest many players want to judge the game for themselves. Its launch could become one of Bethesda’s biggest multiplatform moments in recent years
