Battlefield 6 has officially become the best-selling game in the United States for 2025. New market data confirms its massive success. The game launched on October 10 and immediately dominated sales charts across all major platforms.
A Record-Breaking Launch for Battlefield 6
Electronic Arts revealed that Battlefield 6 had the biggest launch in franchise history. The series also celebrated its 23rd anniversary in September 2025. The early sales numbers show how strong the fanbase still is.
Battlefield 6 Tops U.S. Sales Charts
Circana’s Senior Director Mat Piscatella shared new insights on November 20. Battlefield 6 debuted at the top of the 2025 U.S. best-sellers list. The shooter also became October’s No. 1 game.
It ranked above Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Ghost of Yotei. Circana’s rankings include both physical and digital revenue. Some exceptions exist due to missing data from select stores. Even with those gaps, Battlefield 6 stands strong at the top.
Established Franchises Dominate the Charts
Not a single original IP appears in the current top 10. This mirrors last year’s trends. In 2024, only Elden Ring managed to enter the list as a new IP. This year continues the dominance of long-running franchises.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, last year’s best-selling game, still holds a spot in 2025. Black Ops 7 is also expected to enter the yearly top 10 once November numbers arrive.
Battlefield 6 Surpasses Lifetime Sales of Battlefield 1
One major highlight from Circana’s report is stunning. Battlefield 6’s October sales alone have already surpassed the lifetime sales of Battlefield 1. That title sold an estimated 21 million copies by late 2023.
This puts Battlefield 6 in the same league as Call of Duty’s biggest titles. With momentum still strong, it has a real shot at ending 2025 as the year’s best-selling game in the U.S.
