Anime crossovers have become some of Fortnite’s most popular additions. Fans have seen skins and abilities from Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and My Hero Academia, with each update adding new ways to play as iconic characters. These collabs often go beyond simple outfits, introducing themed weapons and items that recreate famous moves such as Goku’s “Kamehameha” or Deku’s Smash. With Yu-Gi-Oh now joining the lineup, players have another reason to jump back into the game.
Yu-Gi-Oh Joins Fortnite With Limited-Time Kicks
The latest update brought Yu-Gi-Oh cosmetics into Fortnite’s item shop in the form of special footwear. Players can now pick up the “Nike Air Max 95 Yu-Gi-Oh! Jounichi” shoes inspired by Joey Wheeler. The design is modelled after Joey’s appearance in the anime and even includes a subtle detail with the Yu-Gi-Oh logo printed on the soles. These Kicks are available for a limited time until September 26 at 8:00 p.m. local time for 1,000 V-Bucks.
Other Anime Crossovers in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4
Yu-Gi-Oh is not the only classic anime franchise featured this season. Fortnite recently introduced One Punch Man characters like Saitama, Genos, and Tatsumaki. Saitama got a special Medallion in Blitz Royale, granting an instant-kill ability when using the Pickaxe. With Yu-Gi-Oh and One Punch Man included, fans can look forward to more exciting anime crossovers soon.
Fortnite’s Yu-Gi-Oh crossover may be small for now. But it opens the door for more content from the legendary series. It remains to be seen if duelists like Yugi or Kaiba will join later. This collaboration shows Epic Games is not done mixing anime with its popular battle royale.

ItBlog comment creation’s wild to see Fortnite go beyond just character skins and dive into something as specific as Yu-Gi-Oh-inspired shoes. The Joey Wheeler nod is such a deep cut for longtime fans, and it makes me wonder if we’ll eventually see more niche details from other anime collabs too. This kind of crossover definitely keeps the game feeling fresh for both casual players and collectors.

Great point! Fortnite paying attention to such niche details makes the crossovers feel more authentic. The Joey Wheeler reference is a real treat for fans who notice the little things. If Epic continues with this level of detail, future anime collabs could surprise us even more.
