PS Plus Subscribers Will Get Bonus Freebies on August 5
PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive special bonus content on August 5, 2025. This comes alongside the usual monthly lineup of free PS Plus games. Typically, subscribers across all tiers—Essential, Extra, and Premium—get access to three free games each month. Occasionally, Sony adds special bonuses to celebrate major milestones or events.
August 2025 is one of those months. In addition to the regular games, PlayStation is releasing a set of exclusive avatars on August 5. These are being offered to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of PlayStation Plus. The avatars will showcase popular PlayStation titles and will be free for all subscribers.
PlayStation Plus 15th Anniversary Avatars (Available August 5)
-> Cyberpunk 2077
-> Diablo 4
-> God of War Ragnarok
-> Hogwarts Legacy
-> Twisted Metal
Sony hasn’t revealed how long these avatars will be available or what they will look like. However, PlayStation Plus subscribers can expect to see them in the store starting August 5.
Free PS Plus Games for August 2025
This month’s free PS Plus games are:
-> Lies of P – A challenging Soulslike with dark fantasy elements
-> DayZ – A hardcore survival experience in a zombie-infested world
-> My Hero One’s Justice 2 – A fighting game based on the My Hero Academia franchise
These three titles will be available to claim throughout August. As always, they remain in your library as long as your subscription stays active.
More Exclusive Perks for PS Plus Extra and Premium
Those with PS Plus Extra and Premium can expect even more this month. On August 19, a second update will roll out. One major highlight is Sword of the Sea, which joins the catalogue as a day-one release.
